今週の土曜日に予定されている、
教会のクリスマスパーティーの準備が着々と進んでいる。
この前は、
インターネットでターキーを購入した。
はるばる、アメリカの大草原からパタパタと飛んできて、
今週の木曜日の昼過ぎには届く予定だ。
今頃はハワイ辺りを飛んでいるに違いない。
そんな冗談で子供が誤解をするといけないから、
念のため書いておこう。
僕の知る限り、
たぶん、ターキーは飛べない。
太平洋を遥々渡って来た勇気あるターキーを食べる訳ではないから。
大丈夫だよ
Preparation for this Saturday's Christmas party is well under way.
Last week, I purchased a turkey over the Internet.
Departing from a ranch in Texas,
it must now be flying over the Pacific, perhaps somewhere near Hawaii.
It's due to arrive on Thursday afternoon, if it's in good shape.
That's a joke of course,
you know that Turkey's can't fly.
I just wanted to reassure you,
that we're not eating a brave turkey who flew over the Pacific...
