父とアイスクリームを食べた。
とだけ書いても、訳が分からないので、その文脈を説明すると、
家から車で３０分程いったところに、「Joyful Honda」 という怪しい名前の大型家具店ができた。
ホンダさんの一体何がジョイフルなのか分からないが、いづれにしろ、それはとても大きな家具店で
店の中を歩き回るだけでもなかなか楽しめる。
今日は祖父が作ってくれる予定の僕の新しいダイニング・テーブルに塗る透明のニスとネジを買いに行ったのだ。
ニスとネジを買った後、父がアイスクリームを買ってくれたというわけだ。
I ate icecream with my dad.
How I ended up eating an icecream with my dad is a rather complicated story.
About half an hour from my house, a huge home furniture store (similar to IKEA) called "Joyful Honda" opened recently.
I'm not sure what's so joyful about Honda, but anyway, this store was worth visiting.
Today, we went there to buy some screws and clear varnish to use for my new dining table which my grand dad is going to build for me.
And after buying the screws and varnish, my dad bought me an icecream.
I told you it's a rather complicated story.
夜７時、新宿でアストン大学の同窓会を開いた。
同窓会といっても、参加したのは４人で、そのうちアリスさんは今年の９月から留学する予定の高校を卒業したばかりの女の子だ。
アストンで学んだことある、OrieさんとAiさんと、いろいろなアドバイスをした。
僕もアリスさんに、
「イギリスは飯がまずいから今のうちに旨い日本食を食べておいたほうがいいよ」
と適格なアドバイスを送った。
From seven, I met some of my old Aston friends in Shinjuku.
Well, only four people came (including myself), and one of them was Alice, who is going to Aston from this September.
We all gave her some advice for studing in the UK.
I told her to eat lots of delicious Japanese foods while she can, as the food in the UK could be.... different.
